Medications

I suffer from depression, ocd, and social anxiety.  The only thing I want to do is sleep.  I have taken paxil in the past and I am now on zoloft.  The only thing I feel these drugs have helped with is the ocd and they help to keep me calm.  I guess my question concerns what medication might help with all of my problems.

Missy,

Depression, OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), and social anxiety are all treatable with Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) medications such as Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, etc. Some studies suggest that the best results are obtained if medications are combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy or interpersonal therapy. I urge you to discuss your concerns further with your treating physician/psychiatrist.
