My 4 yr. old son

My 4 yr. old son

I have struggled with my 2nd son since birth.. He has been more than 2 handfuls.  I have studied and researched, for the last 2 years on his behavior, Not until he started preschool did anyone think that there was anything more than  "He's just ALL BOY"  and he was suspended from his daycare classes for a day.  now others seem to agree w/ me that there is something wrong.
The school has helped , but until I read the bipolar sites on line, i didnt realize that this has very much to do w/ what I've observed since he was born.  Oh my gosh, he's way overwhelming, I want to run away from him.  He is going to go through some testing at the "Special Needs" clinic in our area..recommended by the schools, behovior therapist.  How shoudl I approach the clinic tester...w/ the possibility of Bipolar Disorder at such a young age?  I have printed some pages...of information, to go over w/ her.   Thanks...

I would be very careful about coming to conclusions about a diagnosis. Your child is almost certainly hyperactive, and there is a chance that he may become bipolar, but for now concentrate on what you can do to control his hyperactivity and help him learn to socialize.

I am diagnosed as unipolar and my 4 year old displays symptoms of Reactive Affective Disorder. I  am currently looking for help for him; even if it means relocating.  Any suggestions at this point will be helpful.
