Mylochonis and withdrawl(withdrawal)

Mylochonis and withdrawl(withdrawal)

A Barrows neurologist diagnosed me with myclonsis (sic) where my head, trunk, arms and legs jerk uncontrollably. He says it's due to antidepressent withdrawl (withdrawal) and will go away in 6 months to a year. I had a clear MRI, never had seizures in my life, no family history, etc. Is there a permanent myclonisis? How can it be affirmed that this is temporary? Is there a method for cleaning my body quicker of this drug?

I do not believe there is a permanent myoclonic reaction from drug withdrawal and it is hard for me to believe that there would be such a severe reaction for 6 months...this is certainly not the common experience.  I suggest you ask for another opinion, or do some research  on the specific antidepressant to see whether there have been other reports of this specific medication.
