Nerotransmitters, digestion

First of all, now that time has moved on and more research has been done, what do you think of the OTC "supplement" Sam-E for depression?

My other question is, just how much does anxiety/depression effect the body? Symptoms that manifest in the body...if you could break it down into systems i.e. digestion, neurological etc?
Are some symptoms typically intermittent or can all of them be chronic?

As for the subject line of my post:

For a week now, I have been taking Sam-E and something is beginning to change (and hope it stays that way).
Since last fall, my stools began to change: to thin. In taking fiber, it did help bulk them up but something about the fiber made me nauseous. I nixed it and hoped that was all my system needed. Stools returned to small.
Now this is premature but I'm hopeful. Since taking the Sam-E...these past few days my stools are beginning to bulk up.
If on account of the Sam-E, this would suggest a neurotransmitter link?
I wouldn't think it'd be this fast acting on any part of my body (yet) but who knows.
Have you heard of anybody, who has experienced "thin" stools (or other digestive problems), notice a change when they began taking an anti-depressant?

I don't know anything about Sam E. but I can tell you that anxiety can affect any organ system and mimick any disease.
