Panic/Stress

I had an episode about 2 years ago where I "think" I passed out. (never did before) When I came too (after about 30sec) I was very shaken. I had myself so scared my insides shook for hours. Anyhow it seems that after that episode I am afraid of everything. Everytime I feel a pain I get scared thinking somthings going to happen, I am always very irritable, and alot of the times at work I feel like everyones talking about me. This is really controlling my life. I dont know what it is and I always think that eventually I will grow out of it. (25yrs. old) I wanna have a baby also but am very scared of this too. What could be wrong with me and what can I do to get over this? Thanks

Dear Missy

For any person, suddenly passing out is scary. But it seems like the after effects of the episode are affecting your social and occupational functioning.I am not clear on whether you had seen a medical Doctor after the episode to rule out any physical causes. I would recommend that you first get evaluation by a physician to confirm that there is nothing else going on that had precipitated that episode. I would  also advise you to see a psychiatrist  for a comprehensive evaluation and adequate recommendations.
