Physiclly handicap?

Physiclly handicap?

Hello, I play football in highschool, and have been playing football for 5 years now. My problem is, even though ive been working out for 5 years, I am extremelly out of shape. I have increased my stamina ever so slightlly over these years. I am barelley over wieght, yet I still am in the back, running with the 300 pound guys. I am even active outside of football practice, playing football with my freinds, and walking around my block often. This is starting to really frustrate me, to the point were I over work myself and nearlly pass-out. Is there a possibility that I cant get any more stanima than I currentlly do? The onlly thing I can see that could get in my way are video-games. When I was a really little kid, I would sit and play video-games all day! Now I only play video-games like 3 times a week, and only for a hour or so. Is there an effect that video-games can have you, to thwart my progress as an athlete?

This is not a mental health issue that I can help you with.  I suggest that you start working out with a trainer.  The video games are not the cause of this.

Perhaps the problem is that you have trained too hard.  I've done that, and although extremely motivated, I found myself sitting down almost every opportunity I got.

The sensible thing to do would be to get a program.  One that allows for building and recovery.  One that will let you advance.
Sometimes if we don't have an adequate base (a lot of aerobic activity such as running, cycling, swimming, etc) then we don't have much to work with when it comes to anaerobic training (speed work, etc).
Also some people are naturally much faster than others.  Doing sprints may help your speed some.

The video games shouldn't be affecting this.
