Prozac

Have been taking Prozac 20 mg for about 17 years feel that I should discontinue, and is it still effective? How to withdraw? thanks rayw

You should consult your doctor, but in general, it is good to discontinue a medication which may have already outlived its usefulness.   The way to stop is over a three week period,; the first week you lower the dose as much as possible; the second week you take  that lowest dose every other day; the third week, every third day, then stop.  You might ask your doctor about using klonopin for two weeks to be even more safe...week three and week four.
