Psychotic Features without depression

I have had psychotic features during severe depression and stress for years, but in the last couple of months I have had delusions when I am not depressed or manic.  Nor am I stressed.  Could I be schizoaffective?  Also....I have always sensed that what I was believing COULD possibly not be real, but there is one thing I think constantly that I don't have that sense about.  How can I tell if it is a delusion or not.  My therapist thinks it is.

Thank you.

Schizoaffective disorder is characterized by symptoms of schizophrenia (such as hallucinations and delusions) occurring concurrently with symptoms of depression or mania; during the same period of illness, delusions or hallucinations must occur for at least 2 weeks in the absence of prominent symptoms of depression or mania.

Delusions are false beliefs, out of keeping with a person's cultural and intellectual background, that cannot be corrected by reasoning.
