Rapid cycling

I have been experiencing what i think is rapid cycling bipolar disorder. I am already diagnosed with Bipolar 2 disorder, However, the past week and a half has been insanely confusing to me and my family.  For 5 days i was experiencing an elevated mood with irritability and rapid speech, distractibility, and a definite increase in activities. Then for the last 4 or 5 days i have been extremely sensitive, sad, crying a lot, suicidal ideations, increase in appetite, and sleeping a lot more. Just brushing my teeth daily has been a major accomplishment. I have not experienced a mood episode so quick to change before, atleast not like this. Also, during both the up and down i have experienced auditory hallucinations because i have been hearing things, oh and yesterday i was looking at someone and it looked as if their face was just melting off, it scared me i'll have to admit and at the time it seemed so real! I just don't understand what is happening, is all of this rapid cycling? or another form of bipolar disorder???

You need to see your doctor and stop thinking about the diagnostic label, but focus on what you are feeling, and why. It's important that you see your doctor when you are having hallucinations in order to make a change in the medications.
