I have been suffering from chronic tension headaches
and migraines for the last 8 months.  (There
is a component of anxiety in my condition).
I am currently on 125 mg of Amitriptyline and 50 mg of Atenolol.
My doctor recently added WEllbutrin to it. (150 mg).
My headaches have gotten worse on the 2 days
on it.  Despite the fact that the doctor asked me ro reduce
the dosage of Amitriptyline, I could not because whenever I
did, the band of tension would com eback.
Is this a safe combination ? Are there possible drug
interactions ?

AM,
Elavil, Wellbutrin and atenolol are not contraindicated in combination.
None of these drugss interfere with the metabolism of the other so in this
sense there is no drug interaction.  It does appear that your headaches
worsened since initiating Wellbutrin.  It is not unusual that this happened
as it is a possible side-effect that may diminish in a few days or weeks.
This information is for educational purposes only and you should consult
your physician for treatment options.
Best of luck,
