Recommendations/referrals needed PLEASE

extremely intelligent 46 year old male was in car accident with head injury 28 years ago. At the time it did not appear to have any long term affects. He attended college and has a computer background. As the years have progressed he has deteriorated and lost several jobs due to lack of focus and inability to complete projects. He is severely depressed and is socially isolating himself. He and his family are at wit's end trying to get to the root of this and get him help.He has had several pyshologists and psychiatrists and had multiple meds tried for ADHD and depression. He is very aware that he has problems and has no idea where else to turn for help. He has had neuropsych exams as well. He lives in Columbus, Ohio and is frustrated with the lack of diagnosis. No one seems to be able to come up with a reason for his mental health issues. They ruled out bi-polar from what I understand. Is there somewhere else he can go for a complete evaluation to try to get his life back on track?

Psychiatrists who call themselves functional physicians will act as doctors, not just pharmaceutical company assistants, and do very extensive neurological, endrocrinological, and other tests and often use integrative medicine.  They are hard to find and very expensive and aren't covered by insurance, but it's an option.
