Sexual side effects

Is it possible for sexual side effects to not go away after you stop an antidepressant medication. I' ve been off effexor for a year and I still suffer from genital sensitivity issues. Do you believe the medication could have done this? I'm not depressed and I'm healthy.

It is extremely unlikely that after a year you could be having that effect physiologically. It is possible that having had that side effect, you are very sensitized to it, and it has become,secondarily, a way of experiencing anxiety around sexual issues. It's worth thinking about.
