They Don't believe that i can't remember

When i was about 9, i had a head injury that required 9 stitches. Before the accident, i could think clearly, and was doing really well in school. After the head injury, (even now 10 1/2 years later) i haven't been the same. It is hard for me to remember 'the day before yesterday', and even words at times. People tell me things and they are completely out of my mind with in 10 seconds. My parents don't believe this, and nor do my teachers at school. I have failed 2 grades due to this. I have gotten demerits which lead to referrals and ISS because i forgot things. My question is: what do i do to make things better? The people do not believe me, and it is very much interfering with my life, now that i am graduating this June. It interferes to bad that it will hard to get a job, to maintain kids and a husband. I just want to know if there is anything that can help?

you need to start with a complete diagnostic workup by neuropsychologist.  That will tell you the origin and extent of an injury if there has been an injury and then you can plan on how to cure yourself with that information.

Thank you. I am not sure if we have that kind of doctor here. My mum and dad say it is just some thing i have to deal with, (not that they believe me) and that it is no need to go to a doctor, but i thank you for the information.
