Walking and Dry Heaving

I am an overweight mother of two and live in a two story apartment. For months now when I walk up  the stairs or the distance of one block, I get nauseated and have to dry heave. I have to stop to catch my breath also. I was diagnosed with asthma and anemia. Could the anemia have something to do with the loss of strength during walking and causing me to get nauseous?  Most of the time, my inside wants to go faster than what my body will allow. Do you think I may be over exerting myself?

All of your conditions, including your weight, contribute to your out of shape condition...and all of them need to be managed or corrected. You may be putting yourself in danger so see your doctor.

It's possible anemia is causing (or contributing to) your symptoms.
With less oxygen available for your muscles to use they may work anaerobically (causing greater muscle fatigue).  Nausea can also result from pushing ourselves too hard.

Shortness of breath could also be caused by your asthma, weight and/ or fitness level.

I'm not sure what treatment is indicated for anemia (other than the obvious resolving of the issue).
I would be concerned about a potential weight increase if you cut back on your physical activity.
What did your doctor advise?
Also, is your asthma under control?
