Was this a panic attach?

I had a UTI but hadn't gone to the dr. yet,woke up at 3:30 am in pain sat out on the couch and felt nauseous all of a sudden I got really, really hot my hands and feet felt really wierd like they were numb, I felt like I was going to pass out or I honestly thought I was dieing. It is the worse feeling I have ever had in my 39 yrs. Ended up going to the emergency room by the time I got there I was feeling better. Doctors put me on pain medicine & antibiotics. Ended up back at the doctor a few hours later for blood work. Doctor had asked me if I ever had panic attachs of course I said NO. He never said if that's what it was. Could this of been one and maybe only triggered by the infection?

Yes, it definitely could have been a panic attack... and may be the only one you will ever have...the worst part of panic attacks is worrying about having it again...very unlikely.  But see a psychiatrist in consultation and talk about the stresses in your life..that is the best preventative measure.
