What can I do

What can I do

I had an affair and was tested for all STD's all turned up negative.  Two months after that one night stand I have been having twitches in my muscles and skin.  It started in my calves then moved all over my body.  My Dr. says it is nerves and put me on Zoloft 100 mg's and it is still as bad.  Is muscle twitching a mind thing?  If so what would help get rid of the twitches?

Muscle twitching can be a mind thing, but also can come from other metabolic causes that should be considered, so be sure and have your doctor do a physical exam in addition to his medication recommendation.

Boy can I relate.

Stress can cause muscle twitching. I have had periods of high stress off and on for years. When the stress comes so does the twitching.

If I calm down and MOVE ON the twitching will stop.

If you concentrate on it or freak out about it, it will only get worse.

My advice would be to calm down and put it all behind you.

Bear in mind I am not a medical professional, I am just an average guy trying to help!

I am twitching all over. You name it it is twitching and I have been diagnosed with major depression. I had panic attacks 12 years ago and twitched then too.

Check out Lyme's Disease and its co-infections... 3 out of 4 members of my family has it, and 2 experienced muscle twitching.  Lyme's Disease is much more widespread than the public is lead to believe.
