Will tinnitus improve when I stop taking Zoloft?

I have been treated for depresion and anxiety 3 times. I am currently taking 50 mg daily of Zoloft and .25 mg daily of Klonopin. I have been on the Zoloft now for at least 6 months
and have had tinnitus since starting the medication. My hearing
checks out fine, no ear infections, wax or anything. I have normal hearing loss for my age (54), but the audiologist said overall my hearing is good. Can I expect the tinnitus to improve or go away after stopping the Zoloft and the Klonopin as well? I have seen on another web site that tinnitus is a frequent side effect of Zoloft. One other side effect I seem to have since starting Zoloft is clenching of my jaw and grinding my teeth
which seems to be getting a little better by conscience efforts to relax my jaw. Thank you for the work you are doing on this website.

If, as you suggest, the tinnitus was caused by the Zoloft then you should certainly expect it to go away with weeks after you have finally discontued Zoloft. If you still need medication you may ask your doctor to switch you to another antidepressant.
