Zanax

I was just recently given Zanax in the ER for a panic attack.  Yes, it did the job. My family doctor also gave me a full perscription for it and instructed me to take 1/2 tablet maybe in the morning, afternoon, or in the evening. I really am not sure how take this medicine. I do know it can be very addicting so I want to be careful while using it. How do most people use this medicine and is it ok to take with Torprol XL 25mg once a day?
(I also have an appt. to see a psychiatrist in two weeks.)
Thanks!
