Zoloft and alcohol - question

Zoloft and alcohol - question

I was on Zoloft for anxiety/panic for 2.5 years and I stopped about 3 years ago.  While on Zoloft, I would drink regularly and don't recall any problems.  I am 33, 180 lbs and athletic and started taking zoloft again due to anxiety/panic.  I am getting married next month and bachelor party is saturday.  I am on 25 mg and I have not had a drink since starting back up (almost 2 weeks).  My question:  is it safe to drink alcohol while on 25 mg of zoloft?  I have done it in the past and  have done some reasearch and found a lot of conflicting information (that alcohol reduces the effectiveness, that is makes you "more drunk", that it makes you crave more alcohol, etc.).  I don't intend on drinking heavily but I am sure that 3-4 drinks (perhaps slightly more) is bound to happen.  I have certainly cut back and nearly elminated drinking overall but with the upcoming festivities I want to enjoy myself but also in moderation.  My concern is more from a "will I die" perspective such as drinking on benzo's like xanax or ativan.  Thank you.

I think you can put the dying question out of your mind and use your good judgement.  It is recommended that you don't drink or drink in moderation, but death by drinking moderately has not been reported as an official warning.
