Zoloft

Zoloft

I was diagnosed with depression about 3 weeks ago.  I took Paxil for approximately 1 week and stopped due to flu like symptoms, which included night sweats.  The doctor switched me to Zoloft and the night sweats have continued.  I have been on Zoloft for about 6 days.
Will these night sweats continue or eventually subside? Are night sweats even a side effect of Zoloft?

yes, night sweats do occur and they usually go away within the first two weeks. I would stick with it a bit longer.

Hi-
I started Zoloft a couple years ago and never experienced nightsweats at the beginning.  After awhile, though, I started to sweat so bad that I am changing my sheets every morning and sleeping on towels to prevent everything from getting soaked.  In my experience, they do not go away.  I have had them for over a year and they are not improving nor are there signs of them diminshing.  I know what hell it can be to wake up in a cold sweat, it is very scary and uncomfortable.  I was not aware that is was from the Zoloft and I had no clue what was wrong with me.  I wish you luck, just wanted to share my experience with you.  Take care.
