a followup question to Dr. 'RG'

Hi, recently you answered  ''yes, your doctor can help you substitute other medication, including antidepressants or anti anxiety medications that can bridge you while you get off of the diet pills.''  to my question about 'How to help myself' 08/20/06.

I am aware that a lot of family doctors are not up on the latest antidepressants even though anti-depressants are pretty much a hit or miss in itself.  Could you please tell me the names of the medications I could use to 'bridge'.  Then at least I can relay the message to my doctor with out having to guess at which ones. I've read on this forum many times how people were given one med after another till something worked. I understand that I might have to play the same hit or miss game because everyone is different but if I could have a starting place that would be great.

Please and Thank You, I am so desparate to be off these horrible pills!! So very desparate...

You can ask your doctor about zoloft, effexor or celexa for antidepressants, and klonopin for anxiety.  HOpe that helps...

I don't understand klonopin.  If stopping these pills make me extremely tired and sweaty and, well I can't describe it, just very weird feeling,  I would think that klonopin would make the fatigue worse.
