anxiety/panic attacks? or something else?

Please help!  I'm a 24 year old male. In the past few months I have been having these "attacks" that really are starting to scare me.  It started off with my stomach.  I would have alot of discomfort in my stomach and it would work its way in to my chest.  I went to my Dr and he had an Upper GI and Ultrasound done, both came back with no problems.  A few weeks after that I was having chest pains so I went to the ER.  They did an EKG and blood test and everything was fine, so they sent me home.  A week later I woke up at 1AM with chest pains and difficulty breathing and rapid heart rate.  Again they did an EKG and blood test and found no problems. Since then I haven't had any chest pain, but have had a few attacks of rapid heart beat.  Also I am always feeling very nasueas and I have no appetite, I can hardly make my self eat. My Dr put me on 10mg of Paxil, but I have yet to see any improvment.  Are these signs of anxiety attacks? Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

These are definitely signs of anxiety, assuming, of course that the obvious possible physical causes have been ruled out, which in this case, seems to be true.

Are you using the artificial sweetener, aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet)?  

In 1995, the FDA was forced to reveal, under the Freedom of Information Act, 92 symptoms caused by aspartame.  
Change in Heart Rage is No. 15.  I have also personally read hundreds of aspartame poisoning cases with this particular symptom.

Abdominal pain and cramps is No. 5.  Chest pain is No.34.  Difficulty breathing is No. 21

Aspartame is now in 9,000 products so check all the labels if you can't just say,  Yeah, I drink diet Coke.

I'm curious if your panic attacks went away.  I'm 24 too and I have the same problem.  I sleep good but I have no appetite.  I live on my own and I've always been social.  However, I year ago I noticed myself not having any appetite when I was around friends of mine.  I often have the urge to throw up when I'm with them.  It's funny because my appetite and everything else is perfect when I'm alone.  I'm fine when I'm around my co-workers.  It's mainly in the restaurant setting and bar setting.
I notice it more when I'm with a ex-girlfriend of mine.  It's scary because I don't feel stressed however my mind is thinking on it's own.   I was in Vegas this weekend with three friends and I could not eat.  Very frustrating.  How are you doing?
