There are two explanations..first, if your rbc is abnormally high, then you must be treated and diagnosed to make sure you don't have the kind of blood disease that does cause fatigue...make sure this happens, because it could be potentially very serious....the other explanation is your sleep cycle..if you don't sleep all night, of course you will be tired and fatigued during the day...this could be a sign of depression.

There is a blood disorder where your red blood cell count can be too high.  I wasn't going to try and spell it because I can't even pronounce it today.  It is something like haemachromatosis.
You don't mention how far out of normal your results are.

I'm not sure about the sleep.  Usually sleep issues result from psychological causes.
Stress, anxiety and rumination are common culprits.  Depression also affects sleep, as does caffeine, etc.

Healthy sleep hygiene habits help.

Usually if you go to bed during the day and do nothing you get locked into this cycle of fatigue and not sleeping.

Another thought.  If you're in the Southern hemisphere it could be because it is hot and humid.

There are medical conditions that affect sleep and cause sleeplessness.
If you go for a period of time without adequate sleep you should definitely speak to your doctor.

I know from experience that lack of sleep can make a person go crazy. Dr. Gould had some very good advice. Seeing a Dr. about the sleep problems may help your mood during the day. If unable to pay for going to a Dr. you could try other things, like a warm glass of milk before bed. No matter what try going to bed the same time every night weather you feel tired or not. Your mind may adjust to that time and realize its time to sleep. Stay in bed until it is time to get up. Do this for a little while and maybe it will adjust your mind and body. Also like J. said if it is hot and humid where you live it will be hard to sleep and the heat will make you feel sluggish during the day. Try putting a fan on while in bed. Your body sleeps much better in cooler temps. I know this sounds weird, but a small bowl of ice cream before bed could have the same affect as the warm milk. It cools down your internal temp. so your body will want to sleep.
Try with all your might not to sit around on the couch all day watching TV. Even if you just go outside and sit and read a book you are at least using your mind. If your mind is tired it may help you sleep better.
Make sure that if you are watching TV on the couch all day that when it is time for bed you go to another place to sleep besides the couch. Staying on the couch only confuses the brain into thinking that it is time to watch TV not go to bed.
Well I am no sleep expert. So of course seeing a Dr. would be the best course of action. But I hope some of these things can help. Here is to hoping you get sleep soon for your physical and mental health.
