You're welcome.  Sorry I haven't responded to your post sooner.
It sounds like a lot for anyone to have to take on at any one time.
You could possibly access support over the net but in person is probably preferable.
MedHelp has an abuse forum.  I'm not sure what that's like or how supportive it is likely to be.  Just be cautious.

I think the doctor sums up the emotional affects of abuse very well.
If any of that sounds like you then talking to a psychotherapist could be helpful.

Good luck and take care.

Abuse hurts...destroys trust...leads to distance and protecting oneself...and anger, deep anger....those are the natural responses.

Yes.  I guess both directly and indirectly.
My understanding is that traumatic events can also expose our underlying vulnerabilities.

If we're talking about yourself then I think talking to a doctor and working through the issues with a psychotherapist may be helpful.

Again, if we're talking about you I'm extremely sorry that this has happened.  Nobody deserves that to happen to them.
I hope you have access to support through this difficult time.

Take care!!
