I agree with the former comment, in that .25 doesn't seem like enough to cause you too much trouble getting off.
But, for anyone who might be reading this looking for ideas how to get off I think I've discovered a method.
Since it has a 4hr half-life start taking less every 4-6hrs then once used to that reduction reduce until off. The key I believe--and has been working with me--is to keep something in the system every 4hrs or so as to avoid withdrawal. I have been taking 1.5mg for 5yrs and have started taking .25 every 4hrs and have so been able to reduce my intake--pretty easily--by 1/3 in 2 weeks. Next visit I will get .25 tablets and take 1/2 of them every 4hrs until no withdrawal anymore.
This drug was never approved for long term use, but that doesn't mean it isn't prescribed so.
Already feeling much better.
Hope this helps.
The thing seems to be not to take a large dose at one time, this causes an equally strong withdrawal in 4-8hrs.
Walken.
i dont think getting of .25 xanax is hard there not very strong. so i would say start a week plan and just take half a pill when u would take a hole one.
Dr. Gould will return next wed. and answer your question at that time.
Gurt I am 29 and was having sexual dysfunctional problems taking Celexa. The wellbutrine caused much restlessness for me as well. My doctor took me off the wellbutrine and gave me a lower dose of Celexa in the morning and that soled the problem.
