Dear Roberta,

It must be difficult having to cope with two illnesses without fully understanding them.

A learning disability is a decreased ability of obtaining or procesing stimulus, for example in reading or mathematics.
Usually the deficits do not worsening and the sufferer may be able to learn ways to compensate for them.

MS, multiple sclerosis, is a neurological disease.
Clinically it varies, from mild weakness to loss of function of different extremities or senses. The symptoms usually worsen with time.

A person's ability to cope would depend on the severity of the symptoms, the sufferer's perception and the support available.

I recommend you contact local agencies, possible through a local hospital, that can assist in providing education and support.

Best Wishes,
