living with someone with IED

i am doing some seaching about IED. I am living with someone who has it and he doesnt knw it. iwant to talk to him but am afraid of what he might say.i need to know what steps i have to take to help him and help me deal with this.i don't know what to do. Please help me if you can.

I am not sure what IED stands for, but if its anger, and its something like intermittent explosive disorder, then you are right, it will be difficult to talk to him about it, but you should look for a calm moment, ask him if he thinks he has a temper problem, how long has it had it, is there some stress now that is making it worse, etc...in other words, engage in a conversation about what you and he can observe and don't make a diagnosis or a prescription or a judgement..just try to understand more, and out of that conversation may come your answer.
