med side effects

Hello,
I have been taking 25 mg of zoloft for appx. one month.  I feel this is very helpful with anxiety/panic.  But I notice one problem and don't know what to do.  I have familial tremor with my neck.  It never bothers me except during stress.  I notice with the zoloft it REALLY activates this tremor and my neck and upper back are very trembly.  (embarrassing)   My question is this, do you think it will gradually go away?  Or should I try the medication serzone.  Both of these were given to me by my doctor, sample packets.  Would the serzone have the same calming affects and if I started it, would I need to taper off the zoloft and wait awhile before starting the serzone.  This is very disappointing for  me, as I do have mild ocd/depression, also, and feel the zoloft has helped all these issues.
thank you
carol

There is a tendency for the familial tremor to persist with Zoloft but that can be controlled by adding another medication, Klonopin. (or a beta blocker like propanonolol).

Serzone would also work.

Another strategy would be to deal directly with the stress that triggers the tremor. Our MasteringStress online program might help you pinpoint the issue and deal with it actively.
