my immature family

my cousin and his wife moved down here from colorado...we live in the country and they are getting a house put out here...they've been living with us (we live in the "family house") and havent paid for anything or helped clean or anything...my mom is going crazy just like me and they dont seem to care...they were here for 2 weeks and we got mad at them because they dont pick up after themselves or their 1 year old son...its really frustrated me that day after day i come home from school and they whole time i clean house (i'm beyond anal) and they sit and watch...they came here and screamed at everyone and basically treated us all like ****...they have a pit bull which has bit 2 people, growled ar 1, bit 2 animals, and killed 2 animals and attacked many others but they refuse to do anything about the situation...i was on some good terms with them until they emailed me asking y i was mad at them...i told them that i was mad that they didnt help around the house and that they had been here for 3 months and didnt even attempt to get a job but instead claimed morning sickness made her so sick she couldnt move so she couldnt clean and that he couldnt get a job because he needs to move his mom here too...they got mad and accused me of lying and said i was naive...i had a car given to me and i havent had to get a "real" job but i know what shouldnt and shouldnt be done...all they do now is give me ****...a few days ago i cleaned my house spotless and in between "cleaning sessions" I got on the computer and watched TV...my brother was told to wash the dishes the night b4 so that was the only thing i didnt do that day...when i told him to do what he should have done the night before my cousin snapped at me saying "u've been up all day since 10 am and you havent done them" when all day he watched tv...I dont now how to handle myself when they come around...I wish I knew how to talk to them without them assuming I'm just a jerk...they believe everything i saw is a lie and that vthey're always right...i'm going crazy...i dont even like coming home anymore...how should i handle situations with them, and how should i handle situation where they are smart allecs to me?

Its important to stick to your view of what's right, and persist. Won't your mother back you up and insist that this couple act responsibly as long as they are guests in your home. You and your mother have a right to insist, although your description of this couple sounds like they don't care about that. You have a real problem to solve, getting them to leave, but don't turn that battle into a self esteem confidence issue for yourself.  You are not a jerk for asserting the truth.
