I WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU ARE ON THE PILL DOES THAT PREVENT CICTS ON THE OVARIES??

Taking "the pill" may have some healthful side effects like reduce the risk of pelvic inflammatory disease, benign ovarian cycts, and benign  fibrocystic breast growths. It may also be helpful in the treatment of  facial acne.
The disadvantage of taking "the pill" is that it does not protect against STD's.
Some of the general side effects include nausea, vomiting, fluid retention, weight gain, headaches, tenderness in breasts, and dizziness.

The pill Can cause cysts, and all the problems the previous response said they can prevent. It will cause cancer over time too.  Not a question of 'if', but WHEN.  If you're taking it for any reason other than birth control, get on the natural hormones.  If your dr. is not familiar with these, look for one who is.  These are not by any means new. If it's for birth control, you might try also learning to use the mucus method, it's very effective, and simple to use.  :)
