paxil-zoloft vs beta blockers

i am having a relapse of severe anxiety and panic attackes. i had been on paxil in the past , it helped , but when i came off i had severe withdrawals and swore i would never take it again.
i am cosidering a beta blocker instead.does anyone have experience with both of these drugs? can the beta blocker help alleviate the panic, or is my only hope the paxil/zoloft.
i need to do something fast. please, any =input would greatly appreciated

A beta block is very effective, and immediately effective. Ask your doctor about that.

beta blockers can be used for depression? I too will never take an antidepressant ever again, but feel depressed most of the time now. How do the beta blockers work in treating depression?

beta blockers, like inderal (propranolol) are used in anxiety and panic related disorders, not for depression.

Just a question, my psychiatrist told me that beta blockers, some of them not all could actually make panic attacks worse. I had been on one when mine started but he said that that the one i was taking was not a common one. Just wondering.
