propranolol and chest pains

I have suffered from anxiety for 7 years. and am only just getting help! ive been on citalopram for over a year but they havrent really helped. i was started on propranolol yesterday and since i have had chest pain i feel like theres a brick in my chest and when i take a deep breath in i can feel my heart skip a beat and it hurts also ive been getting tingles right across my head like all my hairs are standing on end. i get pains in my fingers on my left hand and pins and needles in my fingers and toes. Ive had tests done on my heart and they seem to be ok but i srill constantly think theres something wrong with me. I cant live my life or enjoy it because am too worried about dying. Everyday when i wake up i think am goin to die till the minute i go asleep. Can someone please help me as i feel like am goin out of my mind. thanks.

What kind of help are you getting....medication alone is often not enough...you have to regain your perspective and sort through your specific worries with a counselor if you want permanent relief.
