rusty taste in mouth, please help!

last year i went to the drunk tank and ended up drinking a lot of water from the sink in the cell....the next day i could taste a weird oder coming from my mouth and it was very strong....eventually this oder became faint. now i only taste it every once in a while when i breath out. i have a strong felling this has nothing to do with halitosis. can anybody help me i think i may be sick.

Try getting tested to see if you are diabetic.

check the back of your tongue. Does it look as if there is fungus on the back of your tongue? If so get a tongue tool located with the toothpaste, and scrub it off. Use a good mouth wash and  brush like you are suppose to. Should go away. If its not this then go to your dentist
