serzone imirpimine oxycontin

My husband after 3 cervical neck surgeries is on Serzone 400 mg, imiprimine 200mg. per day, and oxycontin 30 to 40 Mg. 4 times a day. He gets really out of it for days at a time. Could he be taking too much antidepressents.
He sees a pain clinic Dr. I have complained to the Dr. to no avail. Actually I am at my wits end. It is like living with an alhiemers (sp)patient. He gets very agitated.

This is a really tough problem..he is on a huge load of drugs, and certainly too much from my point of view, especially if he is disoriented and disconnected as you describe.  Sometimes the patient begs for relief from pain, and more is given..I would work with your husband, and have him ask for a reduction in medication, and also work with the doctor. If no response, you can always change doctors. In any case, chronic pain is a tough issue for everyone.
