suboxone Follow-up question

suboxone Follow-up question

Dear Dr.

This is a follow up to my 4-19-04 question about suboxone.

My brief history- I was addicted to ultram for about 4 years.
I detox inpt. and now am taking suboxone.  I have been on it for around 4 months.  My previous question was- if I started taking ultram again would the naloxone stop me from getting re-addicted.

Your answer was:  It was a decision deep inside myself that would answer that question, not the naloxone.  I understand your answer and I have another question.

I have chronic back pain and am in counseling to deal with things.  My specific question is-If I take Ultram for back pain only- would I get re-addicted?

The chances are that you would...since there are other remedies for back pain, and this is a way to find a good excuse for going back...a way to fool yourself in a self sabotaging way.  Be careful.
