weaning off lexapro

I have been diagnosed with situational depression. I have been on lexapro for over a year. i moved across the country to a new state, am looking for work and dealing with new surroundings. i needed lexapro to help me with the transition.

i am ready to wean off of it and want advice on the best way to do this.

The safe way is to think about a three week period of attrition where you constantly lower the dose, and increase the time lapse between doses so at the end of that time you have been taking the lowest dose every third or fourth day. You should avoid all problems with that regime.
