I gained weight  taking lexapro and changed my medication to Wellbutrim 75 milligrams. I understand it helps you lose weigth and decrease appetite. Is that true. I haen't notice a change.

Wellbutrin is more stimulating than Lexapro, so it causes less weight gain and less loss of libido.  Doesn't mean it's a weight loss aid, just means it doesn't promote weight gain the way ssris do with some people because it doesn't slow the metabolism.  The weight loss should come over time if you stay off the ssris, assuming the wellbutrin is working for you as an antidepressant.

Hello. Many antidepressants will cause weight gain depending on things like metabolism and exercise. When I took it, I didn't experience weight gain or loss, but I imagine it varies by individual. There may be others here that can give you more information. Take care, GM
