... Can i have some help? Im not sure what this is..

Hello, im a 16 yr old and ive heard that its common in teens to get depressed.. now are these some side effects ??
"Mood swings, unhappy, sad, crying atleast twice three times a week, slow in voice and thinking, tierdness, and just.. feel so empty and lifeless somedays"
(( these are things that have been happening to me for over 7 months now.. ))

Im only happy to a point, the only time im slightly happy is when im with my fiance and some days im just crying from feelings of just lonelyness.. no im not lonely i just feel that way often =[

Also, can axiety increase depression? I find myself thinking about alot of things constantly at night like..
" hey if i do this tommoorw it would be cool :D.. oh no then theres a possiability, of this happening or that happening!"
and then i think about it all night till i cry myself to sleep or just eventualy pass out from laying there so long.
If this is depression, are there other ways to get releif then turning to medications?? Im trying to stay away from these types of medications scince ive heard some dont work.. and well i dont want to go to my mother and say " hey mom im depressed you should take me to the doctors to get meds for it! " i dont know if she'd be upset or not..
I just want help,,,
Can you answer back asap?..
Thank you for those who are going to give me some type of information x.x

You should'nt be afraid to talk to your mom. She can lead you in the right direction as far as treatment. You could start with a Psychiatrist or a counselor. What about talking to your school counselor?
I don't think it's common for teens to be depressed. Is there anything that led up to you feeling this way, a divorce, school problems, things like that?
You do sound like you have depression and anxiety. These can go hand in hand a lot of times. Therapy would probably really help you. Talk to your mom and tell her how your feeling. My daughter had severe depression as a teen so I can relate. We're here for you.  Remar

She dont listen to me is what im trying to put out there, and she will most likely make it worse. Iv'e had a theraphist and it only worked for about a week untill i found myself talking to myself in a room basicly.. and i have family issues with my parents, mom dont like my dad, so sometimes shes a compleat ***** to me because of it, dad dont like my mom so he does the same thing. Its tug of war between two parents, and its annoying. I no longer see my father at this age of day because i chose not to throught court, but i still have to deal with my mother, and as for schooling... im the quiet kid in school but when i need help or anything i dont ask questions and so on... so i ask family because a few people have been throught what im taking atm and i end up failing somthing because they tell me to look at my notes which arnt helping..:| im sorry if i seem like im ranting but this is what happens in family anymore.

Im considering theraphy again but i dont want to catch mself talking to myself in a room with someone else. and my school counsular, i do belive will tell my mom what i say.. i dont really trust many people that im going to be extreamly open about because i get worried there going to tell this info to others, which yes i did have one counsulor call my mom and tell her " Hello, me and your daughter has a counseling meeting today and im a little worried, she was talking about suicde " which got me in trouble. so i dont really want to go back to the school system.

I thank you for this information
and i hope to be looking for a better theraphist some time soon.... (:
Sincerly,
Kitten~

councelling is completely confidential. the only time that is not the case is if they think you are at risk of suicide. but you could talk about anything else without worries. good luck.

Oh boy some parents have got a lot to answer for.The trouble is just because they are  your parents does not mean they are perfect in fact they are so self involved they do not see the damage they are doing.
Can you talk to your dad or is he just as bad as your mum?? You know you cannot go on like this! you say you are engaged so you have got good support there but ,for you to make this into a long lasting relationship you have to get things sorted out.
Take one thing at a time dont stress the small things if you can deal with the big issues in your life   the small things will dissapear.
You have to trust someone and now you are sixteen they have no right to call your mother .
Make that very clear to who ever you next talk to as it is wrong and a betrayel of trust.
you have rights.
Darling things will get better if you put your mind to it ,you look a beautiful young lady
with your life before you so shake the life out of it and enjoy. You are stronger than you think.

                       Take care  ..... seeana.
