Having a free trial sample, plus information about possible side effects would make me more likely to try a new medication.
Doctors have often offered 'samples' but you are at the mercy of what is in the office at the time you visited. If it is a new medication and something I will chronically take, having a shipment of them to get me started sent to my house from the manufacturer would be a nice thing in my opinion. It's not like coupons where I decide I NEED something after reading about it and get enticed into finding it--- it would be medication I need to take after a diagnosis. So, anything to help get me started to make sure I tolerate it and not have to spend my money to find out seems like it would be helpful.
Again, I'm wondering if you're getting paid to push medication. No offense intended, but why are you interested in ways to get us to take more drugs? As for free samples, usually these are only available for newer drugs still on patent, meaning the most expensive drugs to take and the ones with the least information available of how they work in the long-term and what long-term adverse effects they will have. Nobody's giving free samples of old generics out.
