Hey there. I think you are with uncaring and unsupportive people. Not everyone is like that. Seems you are just in with the wrong crowd. You obviously have found that those people close to you do not understsnd depression and how you are feeling. It is difficult for people who have not had depression to understand.
Depression gives us very negative thoughts. It is the illness I think that is making you feel like you do. You think everybody is against you. I am sure the nurses etc at the hospital were not joking about you, it is just your mind saying that is the case. It is very common to think you know what other people are thinking about you. I have done it myself.
Depression can be a lonely place to be, I know.
I am so sorry you are feeling so low at the moment and that the world is against you. But believe me it is the illness that is making you feel so negative. I know I cannot do anything about that, but you can come here and talk to us. We understand as we have all felt like you do now, and lots are thinking just like you do. Believe me.
Are you getting professional help with your depression?
Hey buddy, I'm sorry you're feeling so down.
I'll tell you, yes, people can be jerks, but people can also be wonderful.
When we're in a state of depression or anxiety, we're usually a LOT more sensitive to how others act toward us, and we tend to think the worst, that people are talking about us, laughing about us, etc.
Let me tell you that the ONLY person you can control in life is YOU, and to waste energy worrying about how other people treat their fellow man is just not worth it, especially at a time when a lot of how you feel about this is probably greatly magnified.
Have you sought help for depression?
We're here for you....you're far far from alone!
