I completely forgot to tell you that by doing the variety of exercise and fresh foods (mostly), this will make you feel better all by itself.  But another thing that works is to have something to look forward to:  We used to get HBO and SO looked forward to our Saturday night movie at home!  Or ask a friend to go with you to an afternoon matinee and eat something nearby.  Or simply look around in the grocery store for a great movie to check out and watch on a Friday night or whatever!  I like reading nonfiction library books, about my fav stuff, like dogs, horses, some sort of work goal or dream, or anything with neat pictures, helps fill the dull moments.  Take a complete multivitamin (whatever has the most stuff in it!) just once a week with plenty of water.  And whatever bothers you, you must let it go and forgive whoever or yourself... you see, half of depression is dread and worry, and the other half is boredom.  The stuff I've already told you will help you distract yourself from your misery, and give you the strength to stand up to tough times until you can accept things as they are and then move forward.  GG

Actually, one time I was on a depression medicine for years, and an opportunity came open where I could just go off it, and do you know that I FELT GREAT.  Sometimes taking that stuff for a long time can have the opposite effect.  While you're pregnant, treat yourself really well, that is eat well and exercise well and relax well.  If you work, don't work hard.  Go easy on the exercise, nothing too hard, just perhaps some floating and light swimming in the pool at the YMCA or YWCA, or an easy walk in your neighborhood or in a park with someone with you, or at home some easy but rhythmic exercise and stretching.  Do that stuff about three or four days a week, rest the other times or light cleaning or a little laundry.  Eat fresh foods.  Have some cereal and free range eggs for breakfast (eggs just 3x, other days some fresh bread with real butter).  A great salad for lunch and fruit desert.  For evening meal, get some Stouffer's tuna & noodle TV dinners, use a crockpot for stew, eat at Subway one day a week.  Ask your pregnancy doc what to do.  Gail

Hi I agree. Plus sometimes hormone changes that occur during pregnancy help with depression.

Please, lease talk to your doctor about this.  There may be some meds that are safe.  Did the doctor tell you to come off completely and not help in any way?
