Alprazolam & Prodep

I started having sleep problems since Sep of this year, I was put on many sleeping pills and finally I was given Prodep 20mg once a day and Alprazolam 0.5mg at night. I was still unable to sleep therefore my general physician asked me to increase the alprazolam to 1mg.

My sleep problem is still there but I want to know the best way to come of alrazolam as I've been on it since for the last two months. Is there a way to come off it as I've stopped taking it for the last two days.

Have you thought about Trazadone? it's an old anti-dep. that has sedative qualities, it's a wonder drug, I rarely have to use a benzo to sleep :)
