Signs of depression are crying , feeling sad or down for no reason, no interest in doing things you once enjoyed, sleeping a lot, feeling tired all the time, and mood swings.  You can even lose interest in seeing friends or family, and prefer to be alone. This is what I experienced and hope it helps you understand depression a little better.  Take care..

Disinterest in things that used to have you excited,feeling hopeless,constant sadness,lack of motivation,thoughts of being worthless or of suicide,sleeping all the time,etc..
