I see. I also understand about Paxil. It worked great for my depression and anxiety but I did gain weight on it. You already have experience with Wellbutrin which is good, so you know what to expect.
I am with a new Dr now and as you know, they all seem to have different opinions about meds.
My current Dr days the Paxil has a side effect of weight gain which I don't want or need and also that cardiac problems are now being linked to Paxil as well.
I asked the pharmacist about this and she confirmed it to be true.
I haven't taken Wellbutrin for depression but have taken it to quit smoking so I think she was trying to kill two birds with one stone with the Wellbutrin.
Your on a low dose of Paxil, and for a short time. Can I ask why you want to make the switch? Wellbutrin is one of the more stimulating antidepressants. I would say that you will probably have none to little withdrawal from the Paxil. If you do, consult your Dr.
