I know im severely depressed but i really dont want to start back on antidepressants and everyone keeps telling me it doesnt work. do they? are they worth it?
Well, I think we'll know if the AD's work when there is no worsening of the depression? They work, but maybe counseling and medications work better for you, together? A depression can be caused by chemical imbalances, but it is so many things in life that can add to a depression and make it more difficult to cope?
Why not try and see if it is worth it? Why take it for good fish that they don't work? We're individuals. If you talk with someone who don't like broccoli, you don't feel tempted to try but you still don't know what it tastes like so the personal opinion is left out. Antidepressants are the same way. You should try.

That's my personal, honest opinion.
