Being grateful

Being grateful

Justto get it out, i think the best cure for depression is being grateful for what you got. Even though i dont know when ill kill myself or if i will, i am spontaneous, i tihnk that just being ******* grateful is the best cure. there are no bad side effects from it.  yeah, only good can come from it. Even if that one person causes ur hurt just forgive them and dont forget, be happy you aint a retard with a bad case of some bad **** or God will smite you and take away whatever you weren grateful for.... i chose to forget so many times i dont think ihave a memory or any memories. whatever it was that made you regret being you then take it away. to recover from depression is action, constant action and constant positive every body is their own weapon USE YOURSELF

What you say is so true!  Forgiving is "putting down the anger, and walking away in peace", allowing God to handle this person in his way and time.  This isn't saying that what the person did is right, it's allowing "you" to live without the anger, resentment and bitterness, and moving forward in life.  Dwelling on what has happened just keeps all this hurt and anger building, and eating you up from the inside out.  When all your thoughts should be in all that is good in your life.  I can say all this, because I've lived it!  I am not a religious person, but I was able to lay down my anger and walk away.  What happens to this anger once I let it go, I don't care!  At least it's not living inside me and eating me up.  Everyone would be shocked to learn that the people they are so angry with don't even know or care.  They are living their lives while you're not!  People allow others to control them from the grave, let it go, you have to.  You all have something positive in your lives, and you need to start working on that aspect not all the negative. Kerry is right, you are the cure!

Doesn't matter what method you find, if it helps then do it. You are using a version of my approach which is learning to live with it rather than hating and fighting something you can't see or get at. It's happened so get on with dealing with it is my approach these days.
