Bipolar Disorder

I have been on lithium 150 for about 1 week and was increased on dosage up to 300 m.g about 2 weeks ago, I have been feeling great up to today, and now my very irriatated and annoyed moods are back, I did lapse on the lithium for 2 days waiting for a refill, but today I just wanted to go off on my very annoying neighbor, she is constanlty pounding and banging, slamming doors all hours of the day and night, and today I am done with it, I have had all I can take, landlord has been called 5 seperate times just from me, not to mention the calls my fiance has done too, I sick of my pictures hanging sideways and everything that goes with having a idiot for a neighbor, I want to know is this normal to be so pissed off because of that, or is it my bipolar/ mood disorder aggravating it and everything, because I am so done with her ****..........

Hi, thanks everyone yes my neighbor really *****. I have noticed lately that I am really sensitive to noise, it seems more so since I have been on the lithium, I don't know it could be in my mind though too. The noise up is unbearable pounding and banging above my head and slamming the door all hours of the day and night, the landlord finally did something about it and evicted the neighbors after my fiance talked to her, then once that happened the son left a threatening letter in front of our door, saying we would regret what happened, so my fiance took the letter to the landlord and she copied it and put it in their file. The problem is ongoing the people that lived here before us moved after living here for 5 years, because of the loud noise, and the fact that they had been warned MANY times and didnt care and were getting louder...Anyway they are supposed to be moving, I just don't have tolernce for the loud noise and people that have motor mouths it gives me anxiety.

It sounds as though the neighbor is quite frustrating and anyone would probably feel the same in Your situation with or without a Bipolar diagnosis.

It could have been the fact You stopped the medication for those two days even though it might not seem like a long period of time You are not meant to stop medication at any time.

Sorry your neighbor suxs....I'm sensitive to noise and I have 2 fans running 24/7 in my bedroom...If you google pink noise and white noise you can find some mp3 downloads that can help with canceling out noises...I also have a nature sounds cd playing all the time in the kitchen for a calmer atmosphere...Just trying to help by mentioning some things to help with bothersome noises...
   Hope you find some relief
