Borderline & Pregnant

by adenzangel, Oct 06, 2007 11:42PM
I am not taking meds at this time and had recently stopped a meth addiction prior to getting pregnant. As with most Borderling suffers I struggle with self injury and an eating disorder. I have managed to curb these while I have been pregnant thus far and have about 2 weeks to go. I am afraid that it will all come back hard core after delivery. Even now I think about how I am not going to eat anything so I can get small again. I am so ashamed at thinking this way and I am not sure how to stop it from happening.

I cant say what you should do but I can say that you should not even consider letting your doctor put you on Effexor XR!!!  It seemed that it was working when I was on it but now that Im trying to come off of it, I realize that it was a big mistake.  Im pregnant and between the pregnancy blah feeling and the withdraw from this miserable drug, my depression is worse than ever before.  I want this child more than anything but it almost seems that if I wasnt pregnant with it then it would all be better.  Good luck with choosing your treatment and remember that just because a doctor says it will work doesnt mean that it is good for you.  Do your research.
