Can`t do anything anymore

Please help, I`ve been taking antidepressants for 6 months. Sometimes I feel like I`m getting better but all of a sudden I just want to die and I can`t get out of bed.
I have very important exams to take in less then 2 months but can`t get anything done.. I can barely eat now.
Don`t know what to do.

I`m taking Escitalopram for a while now. I was alright until now.. I started self harming again and using substances. I think I should see my psychiatrist again. Thanks though.

Oh, it does take about 4 to 6 weeks before you feel what it does. I didn't know what it was doing before that. Then, out of the blue I felt so good, and I stayed that way for 25 years. Most ssri's and ssni's made me feel worse. Remember though that my chemistry and yours are completely different.

an old drug I started taking 25 years ago for anxiety, and recently again for the shape I was in (sounds like you) is Nardil (MOAI). It saved my life 25 years ago, and again recently for depression that was real bad. Doctors don't like this drug for side effects, eating restrictions, etc. I never had a problem with foods and the MOAI. Have a good talk with your Dr about it. It has been a miracle medication for many. What are you taking now?

You're meds are not working or the dose is not high enough.
