Celexa dosage????

Hi there, Well, I was diagnosed 7 years ago with panic/anxiety attacks. I tried 14 different combos of meds before being put on Remeron. About a year later he added Celexa. I would have pretty severe panic attacks that would last several days. I only got them maybe twice a year. It would seem llike I would do fine for 6-8 months then crash, he would up my meds then in 6-8 months it would happen again then I go to the point of maxing out on the mg's of my meds. Last year I had a partial hysterectomy and my attacks started to happen monthly. About 3 months ago I started to notice I would feel good for a couple weeks then crash and my attacks were coming often. I never had depression before but now I did. I went to the pdoc and he was out of town. He had a nurse covering him whom told me to meditate, exercise and find my spiritual guide. So of coarse I only did the natural thing pdoc shopping. I went to several doctors and each one told me something different but they all told me my meds were extremely too high. I agreed that maybe them being so high actually had me going crazy nor were the doses even theraputic. So I settled for one the doctors and he insisted I lower both my Remeron and my Celexa. Well, bad idea, that put me into serious depressive state and I ended up being hospitalized. He doctor in there immediately up my remeron and celexa to the recommended max dose and said it would take several weeks for my body to normalize. That was July 20.

I am still a mess but not as bad. My mind keeps slipping like sometime it is good then other times I feel really bad. I have been on the remeron and celexa at the same dose for 2 months and would expect it to be theraputic by now. I have since added Lamictal to the list but I still think I should up my Celexa back to where it was before he lowered it. I was fine on the higher dose of 80mg.

Does anyone take 80mg of celexa or higher or heard of it? Every doctor tells me something different, but I just think it worked before and the first doctor would not have put me on it if it could harm me!

Please advise?

I went back and forth from 40mg to 60mg of celexa.  eventually, we decided it wasn't working.  I thought the doctor said 80-100mg is the "theraputic dose."  I could be very wrong though.
